School Resource Officers
MHPSD is partnered with the Medicine Hat Police Service Community Support Unit (CSU) to provide the School Resource Officer (SRO) program to Crescent Heights High School and Medicine Hat High School. SROs provide a visible police presence in our high schools and work with students, families, guardians, staff, support services, and administrators to provide a safe environment for everyone while building a positive relationship between youth and police. The constables provide a wealth of knowledge and resources for everyone involved in the school system and are eager to assist whenever they are able. There are two SROs in MHPSD Schools:

Sgt. Adam Gregory is the supervisor of the CSU and is a liaison to all the schools within Medicine Hat. Further, Sgt. Gregory coordinates the Encouraging Positive Informed Choices (EPIC) program, police coverage for local special events, community engagement where resources allow, and extra duty events.
