Welcome! I am pleased to say that I have taught at Medicine Hat High School since 1998. I have taught in a wide range of subject areas. I currently teach English as a Second Language and Japanese at all levels.

I grew up in Victoria, BC. After spending a year in Japan as an exchange student, I continued my studies in Japanese in Canada. I graduated from the University of Victoria, in 1990, with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Linguistics and a minor in Japanese studies. I returned to Japan and lived in a number of cities including, Tokyo and Wakayama, teaching English. Upon returning to Canada, I enrolled, once again, in the Education Program at UVIC and graduated with a Bachelor of Education in 1997.

For extra curricular activities, I have been an advisor for the yearbook committee every year since I started teaching. I really enjoy putting together a book that students, their friends and their families will enjoy for years to come. I have also run such clubs as The Yu-Gi-Oh Club and the Anime Club. I enjoy being a part of the International Club which many of my students belong to. We do a lot of activities to introduce our international students to Medicine Hat, Canadian culture and different parts of Alberta.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, camping and walking on the various trails in Medicine Hat.
